Unicorn Hunters are working with a global technology business that have a newly created Project Accountant role within their large, established finance team.

As the business work through a number of high profile change initiatives this role has been created to add more fire power to a critical process stream within the Finance team.

Reporting in to a really cool and supportive Finance Lead, the objective of this role will be to support the delivery of an inter-company project that will automate the consolidation process. As a senior member of this process stream, this role will mentor and support 2 junior members of the team and review/oversee works completed at month end.

This is initially a 6-month FTC.

This role will naturally evolve into a performance analysis & process improvement type role, as the finance function completes this large scale automation project.

Duties include

- Oversee (review, check, verify) the reconciliation of inter-company accounts, and other related transactions.

- Interrogate monthly balance sheet reconciliations and fix any historical errors

- Finance Partner and point of contact for all accounting processes related to inter-company sales, loans, payable settlements, transfer pricing.

- Contribute to a large scale automation project

-Assisting with the participation of various budget processes and assisting with the preparation of various management reports.

- Ad-hoc project work

Ideally you will be qualified accountant, available at short notice and possess CA 2-3 years Financial Accounting experience within a complex, commercial environment.

Strong communication skills are critical in this role with a portion of the brief interacting with non-finance.

We need someone who can manipulate and work with large data sets and therefore strong Excel skills are essential.
